Kenley and Josh’s wedding day at Monte Sano Lodge was one of the sweetest, most personal days I’ve gotten to photograph. Tucked up in the mountains just outside of Huntsville, this venue always brings such a peaceful, cozy vibe—and their summer wedding was full of so many beautiful and heartfelt moments I’ll never forget.

Outdoor Ceremony with the Most Special Tribute
The ceremony took place outside surrounded by trees and sunshine (and yes—plenty of Alabama heat!). One of the most emotional parts of the day was the way Josh honored his mom, who has passed away. They had a table set up with her photo, and as he walked down the aisle, he gently placed flowers beside it. It was such a quiet, powerful moment that said so much without a word.
They were married by Kenley’s grandfather, Barry, which made everything even more meaningful. I love when couples bring in people who know and love them personally—it always adds a special layer of intimacy to the ceremony.

Bridal Style Goals
Kenley was stunning in her strapless gown from Amari Bridal with floral detailing and a cathedral veil. She wore her hair in a bun updo, and her bouquet (the only fresh flowers of the day!) was full of color—pinks, purples, blues, and whites, with peonies, roses, and daisies that tied everything together perfectly. Her bridesmaids wore different shades of green and carried white faux bouquets that looked amazing in the photos.
Josh and his groomsmen kept things classic with black suits from Men’s Warehouse and white rose boutonnières—clean, timeless, and sharp. Their rings were from Zales and Reed’s, and Kenley’s shoes (a little sparkle moment!) were Betsey Johnson from Belk.

Getting Ready & Portraits
Kenley and her girls got ready in matching T-shirts, hanging out and soaking in the morning together. Once I arrived, we started with details, then moved into a full round of portraits—groom and groomsmen, bride with her family, bride and bridesmaids, groom and his family, and then just a few quiet moments before the ceremony.
Oh, and fun fact—I actually notarized their marriage license before the ceremony started! I’m always happy to help however I can, and it was such a fun full-circle moment to be part of their day in that way too.

Sweet Reception Details & All the Dancing
The reception was so cozy and full of charm. They had pink and white china plates and pink glassware on the tables, and it gave everything a soft, romantic garden feel (inside!). Keyke Reed, their planner, pulled it all together so beautifully.
Dinner was from Nothing But Noodles, which I loved because it felt so relaxed and fun, and dessert was delicious—Baby Bites nailed it with their cake and sweets. After cutting the cake, they did a toast with Prosecco D.O.C. Rosé, and the bottle had Josh’s name custom printed on it, which was such a fun little surprise.
Guests wrote advice and well wishes for their marriage throughout the night, and it was so sweet seeing people gathered around reading what others wrote and sharing laughs.
Their DJ from Rocket Entertainment had the dance floor going all night. For their final song, they chose “Shut Up and Dance with Me” and pulled everyone to the floor to end the night on the most high-energy, joyful note. Truly one of those feel-good endings I love being there for.

The Grand Exit + Honeymoon Vibes
They wrapped up the night with a petal toss exit—guests showering them in white flower petals as they ran out to their getaway car: a blue Mustang. The next morning, they headed off to Cancun to celebrate as newlyweds in the sun.
